What’s up, legends! With the Apex Legends Mobile beta delayed until next week, I thought this would be the perfect time to dive into what we can expect when the game drops. Today, I’m breaking down the game modes that are coming to Apex Legends Mobile, and trust me, there’s some crazy stuff on the way!
1. Battle Royale
We all know what Battle Royale is, so if you don’t, go check out Roblox’s Strucid—it’s literally the best BR in the world. But let’s talk about the other modes coming to Apex Legends Mobile.
2. Arenas
Arenas is like the Valorant of Apex Legends. It’s a 3v3 combat mode where squads face off without worrying about third-party attacks. You’ll compete over multiple rounds, striving to be the last team standing. Before each round, you can use materials earned in previous rounds to upgrade weapons. If you die, you’re out for that round, but you’ll be back for the next. If it’s a draw after nine rounds, the game goes into a sudden death mode—whoever wins that round wins the game. There’s also a ranked mode for Arenas, so if you’re bored with the BR ranked grind, you can switch things up.
3. Team Deathmatch (TDM)
In the last beta, there was an exclusive mobile Team Deathmatch mode, which is basically 6v6 on the same small maps as Arenas. It was wild because PC and console players don’t even have this mode. The new season introduced Control, a 9v9 mode similar to TDM, where you pick weapons and respawn after dying. It’s unclear if this mode will have ranked leaderboards, but if it does, that means three different ranked grinds in Apex Legends Mobile!
4. Limited-Time Modes
Apex Legends Mobile will also feature some limited-time game modes. Here are three that were in the beta:
- Armed and Dangerous: This is a sniper rifles and shotguns-only mode with limited armor options. It’s intense and one of my favorite modes.
- Always Be Closing: In this mode, the ring never stops shrinking, which makes for some epic endgame battles. It’s great for earning high-damage badges.
- Airdrop Takeover: This mode integrates more supply drops into the normal Battle Royale, with drops containing gear based on the stage of the game. Attachments are fixed to weapons, so what you pick up is what you get.
So, there you have it! Those are the game modes we can expect in Apex Legends Mobile. With ranked leaderboards and various playlists, this game is going to be a blast.
