This is the DCC18, a Panasonic dummy battery or
DC coupler for any LUMIX camera that uses either of these batteries, which includes the new GH7
and S9, the S5II and IIX, and most LUMIX cameras dating back to the GH3. It works with any power
supply that supports USB-PD, (Power Delivery), and specifically 9-volt 3-amp (27 watts), or
more. That includes all MacBook and some iPad power adapters, many third-party chargers,
and more importantly, many V-mount batteries like these from SmallRig. Other than unlimited
power, it provides two additional benefits. While many modern LUMIX cameras can be powered over
USB-C directly, cameras like the GH7 and S5IIX can also record to SSD over USB-C, which means
that USB port is already in use. Additionally, on the GH7, shooting 4K120 and writing to a USB
SSD requires more power than the battery alone can deliver. But with the DCC18, you can combine
